Thought I could use this for our taxes - my husband worked as a 1099 employee for part of the year... ended up getting the Business/Personal Turbo tax... my fault I should have done my research and did what Turbo suggested when I tried out the free trail version of Turbo - BUT --- I read another review and they said you could do the taxes with this version - ??? Maybe someone with more experience at this could - anyway - I have used Turbotax for several years - great product - just make sure you get the right version TO BEGIN WITH for your situation. :-)Customer Review: Tax Tool

Turbo Tax is a good product and covers almost every option you need to take advantage of in completing your taxes. The only improvement would be a tax accountant that could advise on things you wouldn't necessarily consider.

I am sold on using Turbo Tax to prepare my taxes every year. I've tried Tax Cut, but it didn't seem as user friendly as Turbo Tax and didn't catch as many omissions or deductions as Turbo Tax. I've used Turbo Tax for years and keep coming back to it. The ease of importing previous years' data is a big time saver, and the interview approach has enough structure to find deductions and prevent mistakes. You can often skip sections of the interview that are obviously irrelevant. Most situations are covered by either the Basic, Deluxe, or Premier versions, including filing a small business Schedule C for a sole proprietorship. And after doing the Federal return, doing the state is easy as falling off a log. Only one license is needed to do returns for all family members. On the down side, the help could be better formatted and easier to use, you only get one free e-file (if you care about that), and there is a complete disconnect between the full business version and the other versions. I ran across this because I needed to do something that required the full business version.
Two other thoughts: First, I didn't give it five stars only because it is still not that easy to do the taxes and the software might be more polished. My hat is still off to the folks at Intuit, who have to deal with an incredibly complex tax code plus annual and often last minute changes to the code. Second, since this product is a commodity (anyone can sell it), it seems fair to mention that I comparison shopped and the Amazon had the best price and delivered promptly.
