Customer Review: Easy Switch from Quicken 2005

I purchased this version of Quicken to replace my 2005 version. It loaded easily and imported all of my data to the new version. The transition was seamless-no extra steps, no problems. Works equally well with my Windows XP desktop and my Windows Vista notebook computers. I mainly use it as a check book and to catagorize income and expenses, so I don't use all of the features. It works well for my purposes and didn't cost much. It is very easy to use. Customer Review: Once again Quicken ousts all previous users to sell more product

Once again intuit and quicken make your old version useless so you have to purchase the newer version to keep going. The newer version is not any better. It just allows you to do online banking again with a few more bells and whistles.

Had an old 2002 version of Quicken with alot of data, but had no problem transferring all of it to the new software - even the saved reports. My biggest beef is all the extra stuff in the system. Too much clutter on the screen. I don't need three different ways to access the same process. The savings plan feature was useless to me and nearly impossible to figure out how to use. Thankfully this was not an expensive software, so the advantages of computer based check registers, spending tracking and easy online banking made it worth my while.Customer Review: Quicken Passes all Tests

I have been using Quicken Proucts (Turbo Tax, Quicken Legal, Quicken)for fifteen years, and have always found them to be user friendly. This 2009 Quicken is very easy to use and has some features that will be helpful when I prepare my taxes. I didn't know it was an "Old Version" would like an explanation.

Customer Review: Undisclosed 3 Year Limit on Online Services and Support

I would have purchased this anyway because Quicken is pretty much the only game in town and the product basically works. What was a surprise to me is the statement on the box that puts a time limit (of 3 years I think) on support as well as on online banking services. This does not appear in the product description on Amazon and I did not see it when researching the product on the Intuit site.
For those interested here's an excerpt of what the statement says:
"Quiken Online Services and Support Policy
Intuit's current practice is to support only the most recent version of Quicken software plus the prior two years' versions ("Supported Versions"). Use of a Supported Version is required to be eligible to receive live technical support and use other online services (such as online banking services). Separate fees may apply...
